I was not guided by anyone: I was waiting in the hall of the palace for my sister to come out of the drama class, when I heard a beautiful music coming from a room in front of me. I opened the door and saw a man playing the piano in a room full of violins. The first thing I said was: “Can you give me a violin at home, please?”

Her journey towards the acting world began at the age of five at the Children’s Palace in Iasi. At age 7, she attended Next Star, an entertainment show dedicated to talented children from various fields where she won the 10th edition of the contest. The one who conquered the Next Star jury in the 10th edition was Maia Mălăncuş, a great girl! In the Great Final of the 4^th Season of “Next Star,” Maia Mălăncuș performed together with Anca Turcaşiu in a play full of smiles!

She plays in “Boema” and “Tosca” by Giacomo Puccini, “Carmina Burana” by Carl Orff, “Carmen” by Georges Bizet, “Pagliacii” / “Paiate” by Ruggiero Leoncavallo, the musical “Sound of Music” by Richard Rodgers in the role of Marta Von Trapp.
